Ideas for making the world
a better place
- Call a classmate who is sick in bed to see how he/she is feeling.
- Invite someone who is eating alone to join you at your next lunch period.
- Offer to help a friend who’s having trouble with the latest math problems.
- Stand up for someone who’s being treated unfairly.
- Treat disabled people with respect.
- Help someone laugh.
- Treat your brothers or sisters as if they were your friends.
- Spend an hour at a homeless shelter or a shelter for abused children.
- Volunteer some time at a local food bank.
- Tell at least one person today that you appreciate him/her.
- Pick up litter everywhere you see it.
- Set the table, do the dishes, or clean your room without being asked.
- Help your younger brother or sister with homework.
- Give a flower or something pretty to someone you care about.
- Visit residents of a nursing home.
There are a million more things you can do to make the world a better place. Feel free to choose from the list above or use one of your own. BE CREATIVE!!
